POSKA & OFJ: ‘Grace at the tip of the baton’
Kristiina looks back on two successful European tours, officially marking the start of her tenure as chief conductor of the Orchestre Français des Jeunes (OFJ). The OFJ is France’s National Youth Orchestra, which comes together every summer and winter for concerts in some of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls and festivals. Together with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra Kristiina records Beethoven’s Complete Symphonies. Volume 3 is now available on all streaming platforms, as well as for sale at the orchestra’s website! The third volume presents both the 5th and the 8th symphony.
SEASON 25 / 26
After a busy summer, Kristiina is enjoying a break in her native Estonia. She soon begins a new season, including her final concerts as chief conductor of the Flanders Symphony Orchestra with a program of Beethoven’s and Mahler’s Fourth Symphonies. She’ll also spend time at the Norwegian National Opera, return to familiar orchestras, and make exciting debuts across Europe and the US.
