US TOUR
This spring, Kristiina Poska embarks on an exciting tour of the United States, appearing with three distinguished orchestras across the country, featuring two highly anticipated debuts alongside a welcome return engagement.
The tour opens in April with Poska’s debut with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, where she will lead a compelling programme including Julia Adolphe’s Underneath the Sheen, Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with Lise de la Salle, and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3 ‘Scottish’. The concerts will take place on 17 and 18 April at Cincinnati’s historic Music Hall.
She then returns to the Minnesota Orchestra on 23 and 24 April—her second appearance with the ensemble following a previously successful collaboration. The programme features Adolphe’s Underneath the Sheen, Strauss’s Oboe Concerto with Nathan Hughes, and Brahms’s Symphony No. 4, performed at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.
The tour concludes with Poska’s debut with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra on 2 and 3 May. In Baltimore and North Bethesda, she will conduct works by Bartók, Martinů, and Mendelssohn, joined by principal oboist Katherine Needleman as soloist.
These engagements highlight Poska’s growing presence in North America and her reputation as a versatile and insightful interpreter of both classical and contemporary repertoire.
