Kristiina Poska Reunites with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir
Kristiina Poska reunites with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir in upcoming performances centred on two cornerstones of the choral repertoire: Mozart’s Requiem and Bach’s motet Jesu, meine Freude.
Their musical collaboration began during Poska’s tenure as Chief Conductor of the Flanders Symphony Orchestra, in performances of Mozart’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. These projects marked the beginning of an ongoing artistic connection.
In this new project, Mozart’s expressive final work is paired with the clarity and spiritual intensity of Bach’s Jesu, meine Freude, bringing together two distinct yet complementary perspectives on choral writing. The performances are given together with the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.
The performances take place on 2 April 2026 at the Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu and on 3 April 2026 at the Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn.
